Ayça is an intellectual property (IP) counsel, dedicated to provide cutting edge IP services for innovators of all shapes and sizes from startups to global brands. She has been involved in a wide range of IP activities including, but not limited to, patent literature search, drafting patent applications and IP management throughout her career.
Since she began her career in Istanbul in 2016, Ayça had the chance to work in top leading IP firms in Turkey as a patent engineer practicing in a variety of technical fields ranging from life sciences to information technology. Today, she continues to build innovative IP strategies and targeted business networks to form successful and meaningful work to propel the economy and society forward.
In 2011, she graduated from the faculty of sciences at Haliç University, majoring in Molecular Biology and Genetics. In following years, with the highest honors she recieved her Master’s Degree in Computational Science and Bioinformatics at Kadir Has University where she also worked as a research assistant. During her academic research -supported by The Scientific And Technological Research Council Of Turkey- Ayça studied molecular modeling and molecular dynamics simulation based drug design. By 2018, she completed a two-year program of “Training in European and International Patent Law” at Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) University of Strasbourg.
She is a fluent speaker of English and Turkish.

- Drafted international/ European office action responses and patent applications and conducted patentability searches for well-respected universities under the supervision of several European patent attorneys.
- Established, managed and prosecuted an IP portfolio with a size of 20 national patent applications and several design assets for an electronics startup firm based in ITU ARI TEKNOKENT.
Protection of inventions and designs can secure important competitive advantages. The necessary expertise and the experience to meet all the requirements regarding content and form that are needed for an IP application are of great importance.
