Since 2016, Ayça has been working as a patent professional practicing in a variety of technical fields ranging from life sciences to information technology. She has been involved in a wide range of IP activities including, but not limited to, patent literature search, drafting patent applications and IP management throughout her career.

In 2011, she graduated from the faculty of sciences at Haliç University, majoring in Molecular Biology and Genetics. In following years, with the highest honors she recieved her Master’s Degree in Computational Science and Bioinformatics at Kadir Has University where she also worked as a research assistant. During her academic research, Ayça studied molecular modeling and molecular dynamics simulation based drug design. By 2018, she completed a two-year program of “Training in European and International Patent Law” at Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) University of Strasbourg.

She is a chartered Turkish patent attorney and a translator under oath to Turkish public notery. She also passed the pre-examination of the European qualifying examination (EQE) and is preparing for the main examinations to represent clientele in European patent office proceedings.

  • Established, managed and prosecuted an IP portfolio with a size of 20 national patent applications and design assets for an electronics startup firm based in ITU ARI TEKNOKENT.
